Massachusetts DMH Restraint/Seclusion Prevention Initiative Grand Rounds

This learning event will present a framework for understanding psychiatric emergencies from trauma perspective. Participants will examine the impact that trauma has on an individual experiencing a crisis; review various trauma informed approaches to help mitigate and reduce the number of psychiatric emergencies; and re-traumatizing that can occur from restraint and seclusion.
